If you’ve ever wondered how far along you are on your healing journey, perhaps these 3 tips could help you (because they may be the very things that are holding you back)!
1) Stop expecting to heal “overnight”.
It takes time to understand yourself, forgive yourself, and have lessons sink in fully. You have to be compassionate to your own journey. If you don’t allow yourself the time to let things happen in their own time, you’re putting A LOT of pressure on yourself, and that’s not very self-loving.
2) Stop wondering “when will the healing journey end?”
Fun fact: IT DOESN’T.
There are many layers to healing. Once you deal with one layer, there will be another one underneath. And another under that… And so on.
Healing is a constant process. There’s no end in sight, which is why we deal with the “now”.
3) Stop wanting to heal “all at once”.
Firstly, that would be a mammoth task, even for Buddha.
Secondly, you’re not meant to.
You’re meant to focus on one thing at a time (again, deal with the “now”). Whatever comes up for you “now” is what you’re meant to deal with. Don’t punish yourself by wanting to be further than you are.
You are exactly where you’re meant to be. Because if an emotion came up for you now, it’s because you’re able to deal with it today. And you’ll deal with what tomorrow brings, tomorrow.
It’s not a race. It’s a journey, so take your time and be kind to yourself 👣✨
