How it works

When you book a session with me, we’ll have a conversation about what has brought you to call me. From there, we’ll work together to gain a deeper understanding of what’s causing these feelings.

I use a mix of life coaching and philosophical approaches to help you gain clarity and find solutions. It’s similar to a game of 20-questions: I’ll ask questions to help you explore your thoughts and emotions, while teaching you how our brains work. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you to express yourself and to help you find clarity and peace of mind.

I will help you better understand your mind and emotions, including how you came to feel the way you do, so you can learn how to use you emotions in a healthy way, without feeling like they need to be suppressed or ignored. I will assist you in reconnecting with the parts of yourself that you may have become detached from, so that you can move forward in life with a greater sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

During the session, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and identify any thought patterns that may be holding you back from living the life you truly desire. Together, we’ll develop strategies and techniques to help you overcome these obstacles, and create a roadmap for achieving your goals and aspirations. I am here to support you in your journey towards self-discovery and personal growth.

Structure

Firstly, we’ll have a call – up to 15 minutes – to find out what you need, what you’d like to get out of coaching, and make sure that Emotion Coaching is what you need.

Once we have established that we are a good fit, we can go ahead and book you in for your first session!

It is my personal belief that standard 50-minutes sessions are not long enough, so I offer sessions that are 3 hours long! This is the same for all 1:1, 2:1, and Group Coaching sessions. If necessary, sessions can be split into 2 x 1.5 hour sessions, upon request.

Once we have discussed all of the above and agreed on how you’d like to use your 3 hours, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out and book you in!

From there, we will meet online (via Zoom, Skype or Teams – in-person meetings can be discussed but are not guaranteed), and your journey will begin! During our time together, you will learn how to understand yourself better, understand why you have the emotions you have, foster curiosity towards your inner world, and teach you how to work WITH your emotions instead of AGAINST them.

Once the 3 hours are up, we’ll talk about your experience so far, figure out if you’d like more time together, or celebrate your new-found sense of perspective, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence!

My Approach

Assess

This will be the starting point of our journey. We will discuss what the main emotions in your life are, how they demonstrate themselves in you day-to-day, and find out why these emotions are there in the first place. 

Develop

Here we will develop your understanding of your inner world and teach you ways that can easily fit in your life and don’t cause further friction within you. I will explain how your emotions ‘operate’ and teach you how to work with your emotions rather than against them, so that you can feel more at ease, even when the emotions arise again. 

Support

I will support you every step of the way, as you learn and understand your inner world through your new-found perspective, across each session. Your emotions and needs can change at different stages of our self-learning and healing process, so if you feel the need to come back for further discussions or new action plans, I will be here!
